The challenge
A used car dealer received photos of cars for sale on WhatsApp every day, and each car needed to go on Facebook as a video listing. Doing it by hand meant downloading, cleaning up, editing and captioning every set of photos.
What we built
Watches WhatsApp
Monitors chosen WhatsApp chats for new photos and downloads them as they arrive.
Cleans the images
Finds and blurs watermarks and stray text using object detection (YOLO) and text recognition (EasyOCR).
Builds the video
An intro frame, zoom and fade effects, transitions between photos and background music.
Writes the caption
OpenAI writes a caption for each post.
Posts to Facebook
Uploads the finished video to Facebook, with every step logged.
